La Chandeleur, officially observed in France on February 2nd and coinciding with Groundhog Day in the US, is a holiday that celebrates sunlight, abundance, and blessings for the coming year. It has a rich historical and cultural significance that blends pagan rituals, Christian practices, and culinary traditions. It has also evolved to become National Crêpe Day, as the golden color and round shape of the crêpes symbolize the sun.
