Alliance Française d'Oklahoma City is proud to be able to work with exceptional French educators. While these instructors have diverse backgrounds, the one thing they have in common is a passion for teaching French and the knowledge that the cognitive and social benefits of learning a foreign language last a lifetime. Ms. Fiona Vincent-Diaz

Ms. Vincent-Diaz moved to Oklahoma from France with her husband in 2015 after she graduated from law school. Thanks to a special friend, who helped her gain a foothold in language teaching, Ms. Vincent-Diaz taught at Westmoore high school in 2015. This experience gave Ms. Vincent-Diaz true passion for teaching French. She began teaching with l’Alliance Française in 2015, discovering the pleasure of teaching motivated adults as well. Ms. Vincent-Diaz also teaches beginner-level students at Heritage Hall. She feels very lucky to pursue her passion professionally and she is grateful to be able to share her language and unique cultural knowledge with students in the United States.

 

Dr. E. Ginnett Rollins

Dr. Rollins is a university-trained and certified teacher with many years of experience teaching languages to students of various ages and levels in diverse settings.  She earned a graduate minor in French with a Francophone Literature emphasis while also earning her Ph.D. in Spanish from Texas Tech University in 2004. Dr. Rollins studied abroad at the Université de Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand, France from 1992-1993. She has also taught French and Spanish at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and Austin Peay State University in Tennessee. Dr. Rollins has taught French for AFDOKC for several years and currently teaches French and Spanish at Oklahoma City Community College. 

 

Professor Géraldine Cummings

Prof. Cummings was born near Paris and first came to Oklahoma as a foreign exchange student while working on a master’s degree at La Sorbonne Nouvelle. She earned a degree in Interpretation and Translation in 2000. After moving back to Oklahoma, Prof. Cummings taught French at OU while earning another master’s degree. She has been working as an interpreter and a French teacher at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics since 2014 and started teaching French to adults with l’Alliance Française in 2020. She adapts her classes to the needs of her students and puts a premium on oral comprehension and production. She also likes to incorporate cultural elements and looks forward to sharing the French language and culture with all her students.

 

Mrs. Leila Ouardi

Mrs. Leila Ouardi has a great passion for teaching all things French and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in French. She possess a strong foundational understanding of the French language along with an expansive knowledge of French grammar, literature, culture, and history. Mrs. Ouardi also has experience working in Cultural Centers that are run by the French Government. She has taught French to adults and children in public and private schools and for specifically for Alliance Francaise in several locations abroad. She joined the AFDOKC in 2014 and also teaches French in Oklahoma's public schools where she has shown excellent interpersonal skills in working with students and families. Mrs. Ouardi is a dynamic and results-oriented language instructor committed to promoting effective academic success and encouraging students’ learning in a supportive setting.
